4) Vichy shower
Many people don’t know that a regular, everyday shower is an excellent way to remove dead skin cells from your body. You can think of it as a quick facial for your body.
While you shower, gently scrub at areas of roughness with a loofah or soft cloth. Work in small circles and move upward toward your face and other sensitive areas of your body, such as underarms and bikini area.
This will help loosen any dead skin cells on these areas, making them easier to wipe away during your next shower.
For best results, exfoliate three times per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday work well). Also remember to use warm water—hot water can actually strip your natural oils from skin!
5) LED light therapy
This treatment uses steam to open pores and cleanse skin. Soak a cloth in hot water and then apply it to your face for about 10 minutes, or until you can feel your pores begin to open. Follow up with a toner or moisturizer that contains salicylic acid.
This ingredient helps slough off dead skin cells from inside pores and leave your skin smoother, brighter, and tighter. To treat acne breakouts, get a cleanser containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide instead of alcohol-based products (these can further dry out skin).
